Students in the HDC will continue the journey they began in the Human Dignity course. They will work to solve real human dignity violations, cognizant of the various risks associated with different empowerment strategies.

The seminar accompanying the clinic will start by familiarizing students with the situation of various so-called ‘vulnerable’ individuals in Bhutan, and explore different empowerment strategies that may be used by lawyers and advocates to support such individuals. The seminar will also continue to elaborate upon the philosophical themes first introduced in the first-year Human Dignity Course, encouraging students to explore those themes in the context of their concrete project work with the clinic.
